Aranui Community Trust

To help identify the specific needs of the Aranui Community, partnering has continued with the Aranui Community Trust (ACTIS).

Issues covered this year have included a search for the reasons behind numbers of Aranui people attending the Christchurch Hospital emergency department. Along with the Canterbury District Health Board, Partnership Health has supported ACTIS to share wisdom about new models of care and the needs of people who face health inequalities.

Partnership Health has also worked with ACTIS to improve services to this community, including anew dental clinic, advocacy on further reducing pokie machines in the Aranui neighbourhood, and the set-up of the Pacific Hub post-earthquakes.
