Canterbury Clinical Network and Alliancing

The We are proud to be a member of the Canterbury Clinical Network (CCN), the alliance leadership group for implementing 'Better Sooner More Convenient' health care.

Through the Transition Leadership Board of the CCN, and various service level alliances and workstreams, we are sharing skills, experience, and agreeing on common goals and decision making. The ‘alliance' way of working focuses on an approach that is ‘best for patients and best for system'.

This approach encompasses all aspects of delivery -clinical leaders making decisions about the way services are provided and information shared, funders funding services appropriately.

A good example of this from the 2011 year is work to put in place a shared patient record.
