Working together - to reduce duplication and fragmentation across the system to find smarter ways to keep people well and care for them when they are not - is a priority.

People who know how to do this are the doctors and nurses working with patients every day. Partnership Health's Clinical Governance Group, Services to Improve Access Committee and Health Promotion Committee keep a vigilant eye on emerging issues.

By pulling people together across the range of disciplines, the PHO ensures an independent, informed voice to respond to the needs of the Canterbury District Health Board and, in turn, government. We are working with clinical governance groups of the other PHOs to reduce duplication and strengthen the collective clinical view.
