The draft Maternity Action Plan sets out a strategic vision for maternity services for the next four years, and includes a series of actions to achieve the vision. The draft Plan has been developed by the Ministry of Health in association with key maternity sector representatives, including service providers and consumers and will be amended to reflect the Ministry of Health's current work priorities and reposted on this page shortly.

The round of consultation meetings is being planned for mid-February 2009 until mid-April 2009.

The closing date for submissions is Thursday 30 April 2009.
