PHC continues to support general practice with educational and training opportunities, along with scholarships and cultural training.

We are using the PHO Performance Programme (PPP) funding to back education through Pegasus Health, whose renowned programme challenges the conventional and looks at evidence on doing the best and right thing by patients.

The small-group education round this year was ‘Type 2 Diabetes in Children -preventing a big problem'.

The cultural training programmes offered to GP teams and pharmacy have been rated highly and will be run again in 2011 and 2012.
